5 Elements & Yin Yoga Teacher Training 50 hours
September 11 to 18, 2022, France
This program is designed for yoga teachers, to deepen the understanding of Yin Yoga and the 5 Elements of Nature according to Chinese Medicine, and also for non-yoga teachers who are genuinely interested in deepening their personal practice and improve their health and well-being. Yin Yoga is a unique and special practice because it helps us balance out our ‘yang’/ active lifestyle and yoga with ‘yin’/calming energy. The Yin practice is supported by the Chinese 5 Elements approach to life, which touches every aspect of our body, mind and emotions. The in-depth knowledge you will receive at our training will help you understand how to use this powerful practice to remove stagnation, promote the free flow of energy, clear your mind and encourage stillness and mindfulness as well as adding Yin Yoga skills to yoga teachers.

Yin Yoga
During this training students will have the opportunity to take daily Yin Yoga classes as well as attend Asana Clinics where we will explore the main poses of the yin practice, how to modify the poses to suit the different bodies, how to use props and how to use the 5 Elements as a framework for creating yin sequences. We will also dedicate time to teaching practice in small groups or one-on-one.
Chinese 5 Elements Approach
By understanding the 5 Elements and how they function, students will gain a profound knowledge of the essential nature of themselves and the universe. They will learn how to view the universe through the lens of the 5 Elements and tap into nature’s healing wisdom. Knowing the 5 Elements will help students and teachers to be able to create Yin practices that activate the natural power of the 5 Elements. In addition to the 5 Elements, students will learn about the concept of Yin and Yang, Chi and the 12 main energy pathways in the body, and the corresponding organs which will help inform their Yin yoga practices and teachings. Knowledge of Chinese Medicine also helps students understand how the Yin yoga postures can be utilized to encourage healing, balance & vitality. By understanding the fundamentals of Chinese Medicine, students will gain a profound knowledge of the essential nature of themselves and the universe. They will learn how to view the universe through the lens of the 5 Elements and tap into nature’s healing wisdom.

Wrap Up and Certificate
Everything good comes to an end…. Time to wrap up our teachings, share our experiences and hand out certificates. What previous students are saying about it:
I’m beyond grateful for everything this training was and continues to be.As for so many of us, Yin often comes in the shadow of our yang-way of doing things in so many aspects of life. Coming from a yoga background in ashtanga & dynamic vinyasa, and being a ever restless soul, the need for yin has presented itself in so many ways so it was just about time to dive more into it.
Marcela & Tobias didn’t only make this a beautiful training where all that diving-in could take place; they presented it from their hearts, they truly listened & they truly shared, all the while being fully present.
I feel blessed for having the opportunity to be Marcela & Tobias’ student, for being invited into their deep knowledge and experiences of both yin & the theory of the five elements, which is all so related to life itself.
I’m grateful to now incorporate more of this beautiful wisdom into my own practice and teaching, and I can’t wait for the next training – to dive in even deeper.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
